This shop was reformed an old private house at Toyotomi village in Yamanashi Prefecture.

This house originated in an old
clinic.

[ Anzu ] means doctor in Chinese.
They said once a poor farmer had planted an apricot tree in front of this
clinic for the doctor's fee.
Before the reformation of this shop, there was an apricot tree .
Therefore this shop was named [
Anzu-ya ], i.e. [Apricot Tree Shop}
